Title: The events of the track and fields on the programm of modern olympic games Objectives: The main task of this work is to trace how the program of the athletic disciplines has developed on the individual olympic games, how the disciplines have been added by the time and how they have dissapeared from the program and trying to explain why it was. Another task is to document the individual olympic games and their most important events, especially in athletics. Methods: The induction method represents a thought process in which more general statements and theories are formulated from individual facts; a deduction method in which conclusions for individual elements are derived from general statements. Results: Recording of changes of athletic disciplines on the program of the olympic games, evaluation of the development of the athletic disciplines and the olympic games, recording of important events and personalities of individual games.
